Discover Tim's Grill

Walking into Tim's Grill feels like stepping into a place where the food comes first and everything else follows naturally. Tucked away at 1 E William Wainwright St, Reynolds, GA 31076, United States, this small-town diner has built a steady reputation for honest cooking, friendly service, and a menu that knows exactly what it wants to be. I first stopped in during a weekday lunch rush, expecting a quick bite, and ended up staying longer than planned just listening to regulars swap stories over plates of grilled goodness.

The menu leans classic, which is honestly refreshing. You’ll find burgers cooked on a flat-top grill that’s clearly seen years of use, and that’s a good thing. According to culinary research from the National Restaurant Association, diners consistently rate familiarity and consistency higher than trend-driven dishes, and this place proves why. The cheeseburger I ordered came out hot, juicy, and properly seasoned, with a toasted bun that didn’t fall apart halfway through. That balance doesn’t happen by accident. One of the cooks mentioned they follow a simple but strict process: fresh beef patties, no freezing, cooked to the USDA-recommended internal temperature for safety while still keeping them tender.

Beyond burgers, the grill turns out solid breakfast plates, sandwiches, and daily specials that rotate based on availability. A local favorite seems to be the breakfast menu, especially the eggs and bacon combo served all day. That all-day breakfast option might sound small, but food industry data from Technomic shows diners increasingly value flexibility, especially in casual restaurants. Watching a truck driver order pancakes at 2 p.m. pretty much confirmed that trend in real life.

What really stands out is how the staff handles service. There’s no script, no forced smiles. Orders are called out clearly, plates hit the counter fast, and mistakes are rare. On one visit, I saw a server catch a missing side before the customer even noticed, fixing it without fuss. That kind of attentiveness builds trust, and it shows up in reviews from locals who keep coming back. Most comments mention friendly faces, fair prices, and food that tastes the same every time, which is harder to pull off than people think.

The location itself plays a role in the diner’s charm. Sitting right in Reynolds, it’s easy to spot and even easier to make part of a routine stop. For travelers passing through Georgia, it’s the kind of place that feels authentic rather than staged. The parking is straightforward, the dining area is clean, and the atmosphere stays relaxed even when it’s busy. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cleanliness and visible food safety practices strongly influence where people choose to eat, and this spot checks those boxes without making a show of it.

There are a few limitations worth mentioning. The menu doesn’t cater heavily to specialty diets, so if you’re looking for vegan or gluten-free options, choices may be limited. That said, the kitchen is usually open to simple substitutions if you ask. It’s not fancy, and it doesn’t try to be. Instead, it focuses on grilling food the right way, serving it hot, and treating people decently.

From personal experience and countless conversations overheard at nearby tables, this diner has become more than just a place to eat. It’s a local meeting point, a reliable lunch stop, and a reminder that good food doesn’t need a long explanation. The reviews reflect that sentiment, and after multiple visits, it’s easy to see why people recommend it without hesitation.

  • There's a painted rock snake on the sidewalk here. The sign asks you to add to it to see how long it can get. Pretty cool idea. I hope it gets super long. I saw one of the staff come out with plastic gloves on touching a dirty mop. Makes me wonder if the same gloves are used with food prep too? I opted to not eat here when I saw that because I cannot ascertain it.

  • Tim's Grill should be higher ranked than 4.6!! Stopped in for a quick bite while house hunting in the area. The quaint restaurant located on an easy access corner serves delicious food. The wait staff is welcoming, friendly and attentive. Best fried onion rings I've had in quite some time. Hubby and I will definitely visit again. Bonus was a small "gift" pouch containing goodies from the recent celebration of the "marriage" between the "rooster and the hen" (be sure to look on the corner outside the grill). Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a quaint atmosphere!!

  • Tim's Fireside Grill is a simple small town grill and that makes it perfect. Locally owned restaurants are great because the personality of the town becomes part of the charm of the visit. This was very much true here. The food was very good but the feeling of being a part of a community is what pushed my visit into being a great experience. I had a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings and both were very good. The burger was seasoned to perfection, cooked to order and the onion rings were big, crunchy, and juicy! The staff was amazing and treated us like we belonged. This place has a Mayberry feel to it and that's awesome! Go, eat, and you'll be very happy you did! (I wish I took a picture of my food but I was hungry and didn't think to until I was half done).

  • 4/26/2025 - A group of us Shriners came to Reynolds for the Strawberry Festival Parade today so I called Tim's a couple of days ahead and ordered 10 biscuits for us to eat while lining up. They were ready when I arrived and the guys all seemed to enjoy them. Plus the ladies that waited on me at the cafe happened to be on a truck right in front of us in the parade!
